Formulated for use in Caterpillar equipment final drives, axles, bevel gears and differentials where gear and bearing loads and temperatures are high. Provides superior contact fatigue life for gears and bearings compared to conventional TO-4 fluids. Designed specifically to protect highly loaded components. Features excellent extreme-pressure protection, outstanding oxidation stability, maximum foam resistance and sustained film thickness. Not suitable for compartments containing clutch or brake friction materials unless specifically designated for FD-1 use.
